This in a very short time

Starting to get a few pictures of Trikes entering here. This is something (very slightly) to do with me! The Beetle in the picture, we sold to Eryl from Wrexham, who in a very short time converted it into the yellow trike on the right. This is the second Trike that Eryl has built. The first (also from a Beetle we sold him) is also on Page 2. Mad - thats all I can say. The picture was taken at the All Types Show, North Wales in May 2002.

My name is Steve Reid I am 44 years old but I act like I am 15 when it comes to my bus - "Squeakey". I have had "Squeakey" since June of 2001 and have had my ups and downs but have loved almost every min. I have done a lot of work to it, such as rebuilt motor paint, new tires new canvas and a lot of stuff I have forgotten.

And this is what happens when you hit a Deer

Steve has just got in touch to show the pictures of what happens when you cross a perfect Westy with a Deer - BBQ time! Ouch that hurt. Good luck with the repairs, Steve.

Steve also sent me these pictures of an early Baywindow that he has "rescued" from a field. Steve says " I got a new project a couple of weeks ago. Its a 1971 bus it had been setting for about 15 years. It was really stuck to the ground. We had a time getting it on the trailer and even more fun getting it off the trailer. It does not have any brakes at all. After useing the shop vac. in the engine compartment to get all the spider webs out belive it or not I got it to run".

T25 submitted by J.D.Graaf from Holland - It's a Joker Series 1 (westfalia), colour bambus gelb (geman) - original paint. He was made in April 1980. It's an air cooled motor 1600cc petrol and the mileage recorder stands on 250.000 km and still running without any (big) problems. The roof is not original - is the second (not westfalia). At winter time he's standing in a stable/garage and is rust-proof after 22 years !! I've bought him in 2001 and I'm the second owner, I have travelled 15000km around France-Switzerland-Corsica (were the picture was taken) and Italy. Next summer, I want to travel to Spain and Portugal and maybe Norway. !!!!

The bug got written off years ago so i bought a motorbike with the money. Did all the work on that bug myself, broke my heart when it got trashed by some blind old hag in her company car. The bus has been mine for about 5 years now and i've done all the work except the sprayjob myself. The list is new beam (cut and turned), new brakes(everything inc cylinders), brake backplates (which were a basterd to fit), all new suspension parts, recon engine, re-vamped interior with jag xjs seats (the inside looked like someone had attacked it with a chainsaw when i got it). The paint was done by "Paintbox" (good work fellas, can't recommend you enough) after some twat reversed into the front at full chat and pushed the entire front end including the dash and bulkhead back about 8 inches. He hit the bus so hard that he knocked us backwards about 2 foot and i had the footbrake on at the time!!! No major problems so far, mind you i should think not as nearly everything has been replaced. We've been to Cornwall in it a few times and it never missed a beat as i thrashed it all the way there balls out on the motorway (fuel consumption left a bit to be desired though). It's a '74 LHD 1600cc originally from Spain, which explains the lack of rot (thank gawd). Hope it floats yer boat...Surfing Is The Source. Lee, somewhere in sunny Essex
