VW Northwest - Tatton park, 12th August 2001

Tatton Park is one of our favourite shows - mainly because it is close to North Wales and the weather has always been good - except this year! I was unable to go due to work commitments which meant I was stuck in sunny Holland but the other half of the site, the other Mark, visited with his wife and daughter. This was also the first time that Mark had used the digital camera so excuse a few wobbly pictures.

Tatton park is a huge site, within the grounds of Tatton Hall stately home on the south side of Manchester - directly in the flight path of Manchester International Airport. Being so big it can take some time to get around the site, which never seems a problem when you are looking for bargains but this year they were very thin on the ground. Maybe it was the poor weather which kept the number of people selling in the swap meet area down but this year was definitely not as busy as years gone by.

Even if the parts hunting was not too good, the cars and vans on display was as good as ever. Check out the pictures.

If you see a picture of your vehicle and would like to add your name and a description (or even a copy), please get in touch and we will do the honour.
